The Abbey of Silvacane
www.ville-laroquedantheron.fr
A testimony to the influence of the Cistercian order in Provence, the Abbey of Silvacane, built in the 12th century, stands majestically opposite the foothills of the Luberon. Essentially Romanesque in style, the purity of its lines and the fine balance of its volumes and proportions make it a place of serenity and light. The refectory houses the contemporary works of Sarkis.
