Puyloubier

Puyloubier
Upper valley of the Arc

Puyloubier is located at an altitude of 350 metres directly below the solid blue-tinged rocks of Sainte-Victoire and is perched on a spur surrounded by wooded hills, from where the medieval origin of its name “Podium Luperium” (the hill of wolves) derives.

Its conservation area status has made Puyloubier a truly restful and relaxing spot.

Puyloubier is also home to the largest vineyard in the département, which produces AOC Côtes de Provence - Sainte-Victoire wines. The old village has kept its character with its sloping, narrow, cobbled streets and fountains playing in its shady squares. The village is also a Mecca for hiking, climbing and paragliding.

- Institution des Invalides de la Légion Etrangère (French Foreign Legion Disabled Soldiers Institution): Uniform Museum, pottery and bookbinding workshops and a vineyard.
- Moulin à Huile (Olive Oil Mill): Sculpture and art exhibitions from May to September.
- Mini Cultural Festival: in June, July and August.
- Sainte-Victoire Art Exhibition: A tribute to the painters of Provence, at the beginning of September.
